Retired major General Yakubu Gowon publicly declares fathering a child with Princess Edith Ike Okongwu. The general and the mother of his son has taken their dispute over the paternity of the boy to
the court after which they were subjected to a DNA test.
Musa Gowon was proven to be the child of Gen. Yakubu when they carried out a DNA test after his return from united state prison where he was arrested and jailed or 27yeras for importing heroin to the country. He was reported to be of good conduct and had live an exemplary life as he had pursued his career when he was in prison. Musa had lost his mother while in the prison but on his return the DNA between him and his father has proven positive.
Gen. Gowon on confirming the paternity of the boy had ask the public to respect their privacy as he wish to make up for the lost years.
