SECURITY OPERATIVE QUIZZED FOR SHOOTING INSIDE ASO ROCK

The Presidency is currently investigating a case of security breach that occurred inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja. The incident involved Mr. Kristian Jensen’s security operatives. The incident took place immediately after Mr. Jensen, Mr. Torben A. Gettermann and other Danish embassy official crossed the last security point on their way to see the vice president.

He said the
security operative who was in mufti attempted to follow members of the delegation into the venue of the meeting with his weapon. Based on the rules, security men attached to the Administrative Reception, where the last screening always takes place, were said to have told him that he could not go beyond the point with his weapon and he said it was not loaded. He fired the weapon to prove his point. The securities at the villa who were taken unawares falsely alerted other security unit who detained and quizzed the man for several hours before releasing him.
